- Visit our new page on data management basics to see a summary of the IEDA services for data management.
- New information is posted about data publication at IEDA, including a FAQ page for Data DOIs (Digital Object Identifiers).
- Use the new feedback tab on the right-hand side of your browser to suggest ideas or ask questions.
- The IEDA Data Compliance Report now can be saved as a PDF document.
- The newest release of GeoMapApp includes faster loading time, improvements to the profile tool, and enhancements to the dataset menu. Read more...
- There is a new version of the GeoMapApp User Guide!
- SESAR 4.1 (System for Earth Sample Registration) now offers label printing of IGSN identifiers and QR codes, improved time zone display, and an integrated batch registration template Quick Guide.
- The Deep Lithosphere Dataset is incorporated into PetDB 2.4.0, allowing users to search xenolith and mid-ocean ridge basalt data simultaneously. The new PetDB release also includes reactivated melt inclusion options, more information on analytical methods, and an updated data availability page. Read more...
- In the GeoPRISMS data portal, field program information and datasets were added for Cascadia OBS operations and a number of active-source MCS cruises, and Eastern North America Law of the Sea surveying.
- IEDA-MGDS is the new US host institution of the International Antarctic Seismic Data Library System (SDLS). Read more...
- The Antarctic and Southern Ocean Data Portal (ASODS) collection has been updated with expedition information and datasets for the 2012 field season of the Antarctic research vessels Palmer and Gould.
- Alaska seismometer station information is now listed in the GeoMapApp focus site menu.
- New additions to the EarthChem Library include the VentDB: Mid-Ocean Ridge Hydrothermal Vent Chemistry Data Collection (M. Mottl) and the Compilation of East Africa Soil Carbonate Stable Isotope Data (N. Levin).
- IEDA participated in many events at the 2012 Fall AGU meeting including the GIFT (Geophysical Information for Teachers) workshop, GeoPRISMS Cascadia mini-workshop, GeoPRISMS townhall, and demonstrations of the IEDA Data Management Plan Tool.
